MCRWASA sells water on a wholesale basis to the Town of Williamston, Martin County Water and Sewer District 1 and Martin County Water and Sewer District 2. Martin County Water & Sewer District I will be served by MCRWASA well #1, not the water treatment plant. The MCRWASA will NOT have any retail / residential customers.

The operational, maintenance and debt service costs of the water treatment plant and the rest of the MCRWASA system has been incorporated into the cost of wholesale water sold to the Town of Williamston, Martin County Water and Sewer District 1 and Martin County Water and Sewer District 2. The MCRWASA receives revenues through water sales to each member entity. Therefore, costs are shared equitably based on the benefits received.
